So next Sunday, the island is hosting their annual fête with lots of stalls, refreshments, games, a fiery barbeque and lots and lots of giggling children running around. We’re having a stall and have been busy slaving away in the kitchen making all sorts of goodies with lots of plums! So so so many plums! So far we’ve made blackcurrant jam, redcurrant jelly, plum jelly, plum and vanilla jam as well as plum and cinnamon jam.
We’re in the process of making plum and raspberry crumbles and will be sure to produce some very yummy plum cupcakes. Hey-ho, who knows we may even throw some plums in a bag and sell those! All the produce we’re using has been grown organically in our garden. It’s sure to be a very delicious day on the island! Pictures to follow soon...
